US Mint Quietly Wipes Silver Eagle Mintage Records

The US Mint just wiped years of Silver Eagle mintage data—gone without warning.

The US Mint is now hiding its Silver Eagle Mintage figures from past years.

Data for 2017 – 2024 has been removed from the US Mint website for unknown reasons. 2015 is also missing.

Data for 2025 is available, but only in the Sales Totals by Month area.

Digging deeper, the website's JSON dataset appears to have the missing data, although its unknown what "CUM" means.

What seems to be the case though is the data has been deleted on the US Mint's end before hitting the public API.

Why would they do that? Hopefully its an accident and the data gets restored before further trust in government institutions is eroded.
