SilverWars LLC operates the websites and channels listed above. We decide why and how personal information is collected and used for our services.

The data we collect

We collect information in three ways, information you give us, information collected automatically, and information from partners.

Information you give us

  • Account and profile details, name, email, company, role, country, preferences.
  • Newsletter and alert subscriptions.
  • Advertising or sponsorship inquiries, billing contacts, contracts, and necessary tax identifiers.
  • Content submissions, survey responses, contest entries, and support requests.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data, IP address, browser and OS, device type, pages viewed, links clicked, time on page, referring URLs.
  • Approximate location based on IP.
  • Cookies and similar tech that help remember settings, measure reach, and deliver ads.

Information from partners

  • Email service and analytics platforms that report opens, clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes.
  • Advertising platforms that report impressions, clicks, and conversions.
  • Payment providers that confirm payment status, transaction IDs, and fraud checks.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us.


Why we use your data

  • To provide our sites, newsletters, and community content.
  • To run sponsorships and paid placements, including fulfillment, reporting, and billing.
  • To send newsletters and alerts you asked for.
  • To measure performance and improve our products.
  • To keep our systems secure and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • To meet legal and contractual obligations.

Where consent is required, we ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits, by using the tools listed below or contacting us.


Email rules for Canadian users, CASL

If we send a commercial electronic message to a Canadian recipient, we follow CASL requirements.

  • We obtain express consent or rely on a permitted form of implied consent where allowed.
  • Every message identifies us, includes our mailing address, and gives a working unsubscribe link.
  • Unsubscribe requests are processed within 10 business days, and our contact details remain valid for 60 days after sending.

You can unsubscribe from any email by using the link in the message or by writing to irs@silverwars.com.


US email rules, CAN-SPAM

We send commercial emails in line with the CAN-SPAM Act. Messages include our name, a valid postal address, a clear subject line, truthful routing information, and a working unsubscribe. You can opt out at any time by using the link in our emails or emailing irs@silverwars.com.


Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage, pixels, and SDKs to operate the site and measure results.

Categories

  • Strictly necessary, keeps the site working and remembers basic choices.
  • Preferences and analytics, remembers settings and measures audience size.
  • Advertising and social media, helps show relevant promotions and measure reach.

Your choices

  • You can manage non essential cookies through our banner and settings panel.
  • You can adjust browser settings to block or delete cookies.
  • You can opt out of some third party ad cookies via industry tools provided by those platforms.

Quebec users, Law 25

For visitors in Quebec, we seek explicit opt in for non essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings link.


Analytics and advertising partners

We work with service providers for hosting, analytics, email delivery, video hosting, and ad measurement. These partners may process limited personal information on our behalf. We do not sell personal information.

We keep a record of our current service providers and will provide a list on request. Where possible, we use contracts that restrict the use of data to our instructions and require appropriate safeguards.


Cross border transfers

We may store and process data in the United States or other countries. Where data is transferred across borders, it may be subject to lawful access by foreign courts and authorities. We use contractual and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold.


Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes set out in this policy, then delete or de identify it.

General guidelines, subject to legal holds and accounting rules,

  • Account and subscription records, up to 24 months after the last activity.
  • Campaign and billing records, 7 years for tax and audit.
  • Email logs and performance metrics, up to 24 months.
  • Security logs, typically 12 months.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards that are appropriate for the information we handle. These include access controls, encryption in transit, monitoring, and staff training. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected users and, where required, regulators.


Your rights and choices

Under PIPEDA and similar provincial laws, you can request access to your personal information, seek corrections if it is inaccurate or incomplete, and ask questions about our practices. You can also withdraw consent for optional processing.

  2. Describe what you want to access or correct.
  3. We will verify your identity and respond within the timelines set by law.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information.


Children’s privacy, COPPA

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in the United States. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.


Our content may link to other sites or embed third party media. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. Review their policies before using them.


Do Not Track and global privacy controls

Some browsers offer Do Not Track or global privacy control signals. We respect consent signals where required by law and will continue to improve our handling of such signals as standards develop.


Regional addendum

United States

This section applies to residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Delaware, and other US states with privacy laws.

We collect the categories below for the purposes listed. We do not sell or share personal information for cross context advertising unless stated here. Retention periods are listed or, where noted, determined by the criteria described in Retention.

If our ad tech ever counts as a sale or sharing, we will add a Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link and honor opt out signals.

Your US state privacy rights

Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or receive a copy of your data, and to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling for important decisions. Submit requests at privacy@silverwars.com with the subject Privacy Request. We will respond within 45 days, with one extension if needed.

Appeals process, if we deny your request, email privacy@silverwars.com with subject Appeal. We will review and reply within 45 days.

Authorized agents and verification, we may ask for information to verify your identity. Authorized agents must provide proof of authority and, where required, consumer verification.

Global Privacy Control and similar signals, when you opt out through GPC or another supported signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale or sharing and targeted ads for that browser.

Sensitive personal information, we do not seek to collect SPI. If SPI is provided, we limit use to purposes allowed by law, for example security, short term use, or where you give consent.

Financial incentives, if we ever offer discounts or perks in exchange for data, we will provide a separate notice describing terms, how to opt in, how to withdraw, and how we value the data. We do not offer such programs today.

Do Not Sell or Share link placeholder, add a header or footer link labeled Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information that opens an opt out form or control panel.


Canada

We follow PIPEDA and, where they apply, provincial rules in Alberta, British Columbia, and Quebec.

  • You can access and correct your information and withdraw consent for optional uses.
  • Cross border transfers, we use contracts and safeguards so that service providers handle data as we instruct, and we consider transfer risks.
  • Breach notices, if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and, where required, regulators.
  • Quebec Law 25, we seek express opt in for non essential cookies, we keep a record of consent, we run assessments for high risk projects, and we notify the Commission d’accès à l’information when required.

You may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information if you are not satisfied with our response.


Australia

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

  • Collection notices, we tell you what we collect and why at or before the time of collection.
  • Direct marketing, you can opt out of marketing at any time and we will stop sending it.
  • Access and correction, you can request access to your information and ask us to correct it.
  • Cross border disclosure, when we disclose data overseas, we take steps so that recipients handle it in a way that is consistent with the APPs.
  • Notifiable data breaches, where an eligible data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Mexico

We process personal data under the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP).

  • Privacy notice, Aviso de Privacidad, this policy serves as our notice. It identifies who we are, the purposes of processing, options and means to limit use or disclosure, how to exercise rights, and how we will inform you of changes.
  • ARCO rights, you may exercise your rights of Acceso, Rectificación, Cancelación y Oposición by emailing privacy@silverwars.com with the subject ARCO Request. We will reply within 20 days and, if appropriate, carry out the request within 15 days after our response.
  • Consent and revocation, you can revoke consent for optional processing or limit use or disclosure through opt outs and by contacting us.
  • Transfers, when we transfer data to third parties, we require safeguards and, where the law calls for it, consent.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact Mexico’s data protection authority, the Instituto Nacional de Transparencia, Acceso a la Información y Protección de Datos Personales (INAI).


Europe, including EEA

  • We follow the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive rules on clear ad identification. Ads must be identifiable as advertising and not disguised as editorial.
  • Where the Digital Services Act applies to an interface, we identify the sponsor and provide meaningful information about main targeting parameters for the ad, available through an Ad info link.
  • Country specific ad codes may apply. We adopt common labels such as Advertisement, Paid partnership with [Issuer], or #ad at the start of posts.
  • Investment content is advertising, not investment research. We do not give personal recommendations.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change. If changes are material, we will post a notice on our site or email subscribers. The version and effective date appear at the top of this page.
